Landyachtz battle ax longboard review

The landyachtz battle ax longboard is perfect for downhill it pretty much fill out any role except for sliding. A cool thing about the battle ax is that it’s cut so there’s virtually no wheelbite. The battle ax also has a pretty average flex and concave making it great for beginners or people who like a generic feeling concave. I recommend the battle ax to any beginners or intermediates, however if you’re extremely good I’m sure there are other decks that can smoke this especially with the right setup.

The landyachtz battle ax is perfect with san clemente trucks and wheels however this board can’t reach it’s full potential without getting some premium equipment. For wheels I definitely recommend sector 9′s or abec 11′s (if you have the money of course) or even abec 11′s or orangatangs . For trucks I suggest getting  gullwing chargers, or bombers. The battle ax also comes with abec 5 bearings that would be much better replaced with some bones reds or if you have the money some sector 9 or bones swiss ceramics.

The landyachtz switch longboard is the ultimate board for downhill and cruising. The Landyachtz switch has a special design that with the flush mount trucks gives it such a low center of gravity you will be glued to the ground and your board will have it’s own exhaust. The landyachts switch also has the long wheelbase any board can offer so if you like stability at high speeds, and the ability to accelerate to high speeds faster than this by all means should be your next purchase.

The landyachtz switch is perfect with san clemente trucks and wheels however this board can’t reach it’s full potential without getting some premium equipment. For wheels I definitely recommend sector 9′s or abec 11′s (if you have the money of course) or even abec 11′s (these are my favorite of the bunch). For trucks I suggest getting  gullwing chargers, or bombers. The switch also comes with abec 5 bearings that would be much better replaced with some bones reds or if you have the money some sector 9 or bones swiss ceramics.

Who Still Needs a Watch?

nixonWith the proliferation of cell phones and handheld devices equipped with satellite calibrated timekeeping mechanisms, the pragmatic uses for watches are dwindling. Moments without these contemporary gadgets are few and far between for most of us, however, some people still participate in activities where having a cell phone or PDA on hand isn’t practical. Take skateboarders for example.

The threat of crashing is always imminent, and keeping a cell phone or handheld in your pocket isn’t the wisest M.O. To that end, many boarders opt for a timepiece instead. Of course, most boarders conform to a particular style, and as such, many opt for Vestal or Nixon watches, both of which have a solid reputation in the industry.

loaded tan tien longboard review

The Loaded Tan Tien longboard brings a whole lot to the table for downhill boarding. First of all I have to say this is probably the nicest longboard I’ve ridden from loaded. For one it’s foot locking concave and grip make it impossible to fall from slipping (in non-wet weather). With  the right wheels and with the right trucks wheelbite will be a thing of the past, and so will speed wobble. The Tan Tien is not only light for it’s size but keeps a lower center of gravity due to the flush mount trucks.

The loaded tan tien is perfect with san clemente trucks and wheels however the deck itself isn’t making it our most popular board. For wheels I definitely recommend sector 9′s or orangatangs (if you have the money of course) or even abec 11′s (these are my favorite of the bunch). For trucks I recommend getting randal 150′s, gullwing chargers, or bombers. The tan tien also comes with abec 5 bearings that would be much better replaced with some bones reds or if you have the money some sector 9 ceramics or if you really want to get quality out of this I think we still carry the bones ceramics, although they’re pricy they’re definitely worth it

Loaded Vanguard Bamboo longboard

The Vanguard Bamboo loaded longboard is perfect for downhill boarding, after all it’s Loaded’s focus is downhill boarding. The best thing about Loadeds boards are that you can get them in different flexes which makes it let you choose from any style you want, from rock hard to near gonna snap flexy. The coolest thing about loaded is the fact that they cut their boards so that wheelbite is virtually elimated. I recommend the vanguard to anyone who wants a serious downhill board.

The loaded vanguard is perfect with san clemente trucks and wheels however you will never meet the superior quality of a loaded board without some quality accessories. For wheels I definitely recommend sector 9′s or orangatangs (if you have the money of course) or even abec 11′s (these are my favorite of the bunch). as far as trucks gos I suggest getting randal 150′s, gullwing chargers, or bombers. The vanguard also comes with abec 5 bearings that would be much better replaced with some bones reds or if you have the money some sector 9 ceramics.

Loaded pintail bamboo longboard

Loaded longboards has an assortment of every board for downhill and even have a pintail made compeltely of bamboo(all longboard companies need a pintail, and a bamboo board). The coolest thing about loaded longboards is that you can get different flexes that suit your style, so if you’re contemplating buying one I suggest finding out which flex would best suit you. The loaded pintail is also cutout so you don’t get wheelbite, not to mention the long wheelbase for more stability and smoother turns going down hills I recommend the loaded pintail to anyone looking for a true downhill board.

The  loaded pintail is perfect with san clemente trucks and wheels however there so much other quality equipment to choose from. For wheels I definitely recommend sector 9′s or orangatangs (if you have the money of course) or even abec 11′s (these are my favorite of the bunch). For trucks I recommend getting randal 150′s, gullwing chargers, or bombers. The loaded pintail also comes with abec 5 bearings that would be much better replaced with some bones reds or if you have the money some sector 9 ceramics.

Loaded Ceviche Longboard review

Loaded longboards has made another great board and we instantly had to bring it into our shop, and we are proud to the Ceviche this is one of the best when it comes to downhill and cruising. Loaded has become so involved in the whole downhill scene that they even have custom flexes to suit any downhillers preference. The loaded cevicched also has a unique kicktail and nose which makes for a more comfortable ride (in my opinion) just because I like having them, a flat board to me just doesn’t feel right.

The loaded ceviche is perfect with san clemente trucks and wheels however there so much other quality equipment to choose from. For wheels I definitely recommend sector 9′s or orangatangs (if you have the money of course) or even abec 11′s (these are my favorite of the bunch). For trucks I recommend getting sidewinders if you’re JUST going to cruise and carve, however if you bombing hills I suggest getting randal 150′s, gullwing chargers, or bombers. The ceviche also comes with abec 5 bearings that would be much better replaced with some bones reds or if you have the money some sector 9 ceramics.

Sector 9 OG cloud

The sector 9 OG cloud is an amazing cruiser. The cloud comes with both a kicktail and a nose for those who enjoy doing those goofy longboard tricks or those who are just used to have both kicks (that’s me). The OG cloud also has wheel cutouts so you don’t have to wheelbite on your relaxing ride. I recommend the OG cloud to anyone looking for an amazing cruiser.

The Sector nine OG cloud goes perfect with san clemente trucks and wheels however there are many other suitable choices to enhance this beastly cruiser. For wheels I definitely recommend sector 9′s or orangatangs (if you have the money of course). For trucks I recommend getting sidewinders they’re the only real choice for this board in my opinion. The cloud also comes with abec 5 bearings that would be much better replaced with some bones reds or if you have the money some sector 9 ceramics.

Sector 9 off the wall 2 review

The Sector 9 Off the wall 2 is actually probably my personal favorite of the sector 9 boards. It’s built for nothing but cruising and carving, and the sidewinder trucks make it all the better for just that. The off the wall also has a drop through flush mount which gives insane stability tearing through the street and the board is cut so there’s almost literally no wheelbite. I recommend the off the wall 2 to any looking for an absolutely superb cruiser.

The Sector nine off the wall 2 goes perfect with san clemente trucks and longboard wheels however there are many choices that will definitely make your experience with the sand wedge better. For wheels I definitely recommend sector 9′s or even abec 11′s (if you have the money of course). For trucks I recommend getting sidewinders they’re the only way to go with this board. The off the wall 2 also comes with abec 5 bearings that would be much better replaced with some bones reds or if you have the money some sector 9 ceramics.

Landyachtz Evo Longboard

Hey everyone, I’m finally back from hitting the books and apparently we have some new longboards in.  The Ladyachtz longboards evo longboard is an all out racing board, rumor has it that it’s won more racing competitions in the last 3 years than any other board, and has been the choice for 3 world championships. The great thing about the Evo longboard is the 2″ dropped platform that keeps you low to ground for a lower center of gravity, which will send you zipping down hills. Now, although the Evo was built with racing in mind, these boards have become a staple in today’s cruising, with its stability and speed. I recommend the Ladyachtz Evo to anyone looking for a super speedy, and extremely stable board.

Now, the Ladyachtz doesn’t get it’s speed and stability from just the deck itself, it’s some quality accessories to go with it. If you have racing in mind I definitely recommend going for some gullwing bombers or chargers, however if you want to just cruise around I suggest getting some gullwing sidewinders instead. As for wheels, sector 9 puts out a really good wheel for the price, however if you really want to tear through town or down hills I recommend getting orangatang wheels . The Ladyachtz also can’t zip through town without a good set of bearings. For bearings I recommend getting either reds, rush’s, or greaseballs, but if you want a better quality for a little more money I suggest bones swiss or sector 9 ceramics.
