The Many Uses of Bamboo
When most people think of bamboo, they likely conjure up images of adorable pandas satiating themselves in a dense Chinese jungle. While this is certainly one of the uses of the material, bamboo is seeing increased usage in a wide line of consumer products. Since it is the fastest growing plant on earth, people are constantly looking for new ways to utilize the versatile shoots.
Due to its strength and durability, bamboo wood is now being used to create everything from houses to bamboo longboard decks. The fibers from the plant have also become popular in the textile industry, and organic bamboo clothing is constantly increasing in popularity. There is continuous research into the various medicinal and culinary uses of the plant as well.
Landyachtz DH Race Longboard review
The Landyachtz DH Race longboard is all it’s name implies and more. This board is perfect for downhill because of it;s insane stability, Landyachtz made this board with a super low center of gravity and steep concave which is what really makes this board what is. This board can also be set up for cruising, or carving, however you set it up though, instability will be old news. I reccomend the DH race to anyone looking for a good racing board.
The Landyachtz DH comes with san clemente trucks and wheels as well as some abec 5 bearings. For trucks, if you’re going to do downhill I recommend bombers or chargers, but if you plan on carving and cruising, go for the gullwing sidewinders. For wheels I recommend getting orangutangs, gumballs, sector 9′s, arbors, any wheel will do just fine but the best wheels out right now are the orangutangs and gumballs. As far as bearings go, Reds are still the best for the price, but if you want a truly superior bearing get some sector 9 ceramics.

Longboarding is fun for kids. Through video games and increased media exposure, more people are participating in the sport than ever before. As with any endeavor, practice is one of the keys to success in longboarding. For those who want to make it in skateboarding as a sport, here are some tips:
~Get a head start. Learn the basics while you are still young. There are many longboard skateboards for kids and adolescents that are available in sports shops and online.
~Get the gear. When choosing your board, don’t forget to buy the corresponding safety gear, such as a helmet and knee pads.
~Find the right place. Although it is very tempting to practice your moves in the street, it is way safer to go to a skate park with regulation and safety inspected ramps.
Benefits of Wearing Sunglasses
While some people might think the sole benefit of wearing sunglasses is to look cool, in truth sunglasses provide a number of benefits in the form of eye protection. Our eyes are sensitive to light, especially since most of us don’t spend as much time outside as we do inside. When outside, it’s important to protect your eyes from harmful UVA and UVB rays which can cause damage to the retina. Exposure to the sun’s harmful rays can wear on the retina over time, and cause a number of problems. Our sight is our most precious sense, and the sense that we tend to depend upon most. It’s important to protect our sight with sunglasses while driving, outdoors, and even not when in direct sunlight. This will ensure our eye health remains consistent as we age.
When it comes to choosing sunglasses, the cheap brands don’t often protect against UVA and UVB rays, and in essence, only fulfill the purpose of looking cool. Designer sunglasses have a significant advantage when it comes to eye protection. Electric sunglasses, for example, provide excellent protection from the sun’s rays and also look sleek and modern.
