What to Do When a Skateboard Splinters
Those who skateboard regularly know that their equipment can wear out and break at the least convenient times. A deck might snap right in the middle of a gnarly boardslide, for example, leaving the trucks and wheels fully functional but useless for the time being. Likewise, bearings might become creaky and crusty, preventing the skateboarder from rolling down the street in style.
Luckily, skateboard decks are often sold separately from other equipment and supplies. The addition of trucks and wheels can be pricy, especially when they aren’t even needed. If you’ve been temporarily stalled from indulging in your passion for skateboarding, consider replacing your board as soon as possible. It’s an effective form of exercise as well as a mode of transportation.
