Landyachtz Chief Longboard

The chief longboard was designed for the desire to take riding to the next level. The chief is a carver series longboard made with fiberglass layes that give it the popular flex style longboarding that is similar to surfing. The flex gives a nice pump in and out of turns which helps to keep momentum without having to push. The chief was newly redisgned, with the radical graphic from the past left the same. The flex is also still the same but the rest of the board is completely different. It is now a little shorter for better turning circumferences and wider for more stability. It now sports an upturned tail incase you get into a tight spot.

Specs:

Made from birch and fiberglass

Length: 40″

Width: 10″

WB: 24.75″

Performance based on 1-10 scale, 10 being the best:

Rushing: 8

Crusing: 9

Carving: 10

Sliding: 4

Freeriding: 5

Downhill: 5

Recommended set up for the chief:

Trucks: You can get a nice ride and keep it cheap by going with some Randal 180mm trucks

Wheels: I would go with the orangatang 75mm in-heat in orange as they are super grippy, smooth wheels that will allow for some nice tight carves.

Bearings: This board is more carver/crusier styled so I would keep it simple with a nice abec 5 bearing.

Landyachtz Evo Longboard

The evo was desgined by a world champion longboarder. Landyachtz made the evo as the ultimate racing board. This board has won more races in the past 4 years than any other board and has been the number 1 choice for 3 world cup longboarding champs. The evo was designed with racing in mind, however it is also a very popular freeride board. The deck is dropped 2″ below the mounting point to help keep your feet locked in to position and low to the ground for stability at high speeds and through hard carving turns. For racing or shredding a local hill, the evo is the ultimate longboard.

Specs:

11 plies of canadaian maple

Length: 41″

Width: 10″

WB: 35.75″

Foot Platform: 26″

Performance ratings from 1-10:

Pushing: 9

Cruising: 7

Carving: 8

Sliding: 8

Freeriding: 9

Downhill: 10

Recommended set up:

I would set it up with the 852 bear grizzly trucks in silver or black. A great wheel for this board is the hawg monster 76mm wheel, duro depends on what type of riding surface you will be riding on. Bearings should be bone swiss or bones ceramics.

-Note the new bones super red bearings are very comparable to the bones swiss in a few tests I’ve run recently.
