sector 9 bullet longboard review
The sector 9 bullet longboard is a great board for extreme downhill or rough carving. The bullet has a special drop through flush mount truck system that gives you a lower center of gravity for that extra zip down hills. The bullet is also cut in such a way that it’s nearly to impossible to get wheelbite unless it taps your shoe, but it’s quite easy to learn to adjust your feet on this 40″ board. I recommend the bullet to any hardcore carvers or downhill riders.
The bullet comes with san clemente trucks and wheels but if you’re going to get this board there’s much better options for this board. for trucks I highly recommend getting chargers or bombers, these trucks are absolutely perfect for downhill and carving. For wheels I recommend getting some sector 9′s or orangutangs any wheel in about a 75mm+. The bullet also comes with some abec 5 bearings but if you’re doing downhill there’s a chance these will get a “speed blowout” but bones reds can easily endure this and if you have the extra money I suggest getting some reds or if you have the extra money even some sector 9 ceramics.
sector 9 carbonite longboard review
The sector 9 carbonite longboard is a board made for downhill and if you so desire, cruising I honestly don’t suggest this for any other type of longboarding. The carbonite comes with a flush truck mount system that’s gets you close to the pavement for a lower center of gravity that will send you flying down hills at speeds only comparable to cars on a freeway. The carbonite is also cut in such a way that it prevents wheelbite which trust me you don’t want happening at 50 mph. I recommend the sector 9 carbonite to any beginner or expert downhill rider or anyone who needs to get from point a to point b.
The carbonite comes with san clemente trucks and wheels but if you’re going to get this board there’s almost no way these poor things will endure the harsh conditions of extreme downhill riding. for trucks I highly recommend getting chargers or bombers, these trucks are absolutely perfect for downhill. For wheels…I recommend getting some sector 9′s orangutangs, zig zags any wheel in about a 75mm+. The carbonite also comes with some abec 5 bearings but if you’re doing downhill there’s a chance these will get a “speed blowout” I’ve had this happen to me before and it’s pretty this happened to me when I got some abec 5′s to replace my worn reds and I was going about 30 miles an hour and all the ball bearings inside of the bearing blew out however reds should be enough to endure whatever you’re looking to do.
Sector 9 big rock bamboo mini longboard
The sector 9 big rock bamboo mini longboard is a great board for cruising and carving, though I don’t think it would make much use doing anything else besides ramps. The sector 9 big rock also has a kicktail for extra maneuverability and stability. The name big rock is kind of an oxymoron considering this is the smallest bamboo board that sector 9 has to offer. The best thing about the big rock is that it’s made of bamboo which is great for the environment considering bamboo is a weed and that it grows up to 4 feet a week not to mention it’s just as durable and flexy as it’s wood counter part! I recommend the big rock to anyone looking for an amazing board for getting around town or who wants to do some mini ramp sessions.
The big rock come with san clemente trucks and wheels, though these trucks and wheels are just fine you can something 10 times better for little damage to your wallet. Normally I suggest getting sidewinders for just about any board…however for this tight turning beast PLEASE don’t buy side winders, you will be turning way too sharp and at high speeds will get crazy speed wobble, the best bet for this board is to buy some bombers or chargers. The big rock also comes with san clemente wheels but I suggest buying some sector 9 wheels anything in about a 60-70mm don’t go too much bigger because you’ll get wheelbite but don’t go too much smaller because you want to make it over those cracks in the road. The big rock also comes with abec 5 bearings these are just fine if you’re learning how to ride but I highly suggest getting some reds or even some sector 9 ceramics if you have the money.
Secotr 9 ala moana longboard review
The sector 9 ala moana longboard is a great board for cruising, slalom, and hardcore carving. The ala moana cut so that you don’t have to worry about wheelbite the only thing you have to worry about it where you’re placing your feet if you’re turning too sharp. The ala moana also has quite a short wheelbase which makes for sharp precise turns. I recommend the ala moaner to any hardcore slalom riders or carvers, or anyone who needs to make smooth commute across town.
The ala moana comes with san clemente trucks and wheels but if you want the best results from this board I highly recommend buying some sidewinders, you really shouldn’t buy any other truck for this board. The ala moana also comes with san clemete wheels but I recommend getting some sector 9 wheels in a 70mm or higher. Now, no board is complete without some super speedy bearings, the ala moana comes with abec 5′s, these are nice and all but the reds are MUCH better compared to these for only a few extra dollars
Sector 9 ours bamboo longboard review
The sector 9 ours bamboo longboard is a great board for cruising, carving, and downhill, I recommend it for just about anything. The ours longboard has wheel cutouts to help reduce wheelbite which no matter what you’re doing is a bonus. The ours longboard also features a small kicktail for added maneuverability and stability going down though huge hills. I recommend the ours to anyone looking for a board that can do just about anything.
The sector 9 ours comes with san clemente trucks and wheels but I suggest getting sidewinders for this board unless you’re doing downhill then I would suggest bombers or chargers. As for wheels I suggest getting some sector 9′s, orangutangs, zig-zags, whatever wheel sounds appealingĀ in a 70mm or higher. The ours also comes with abec 5 bearings but the best bet for this board would to be to get some reds or maybe some sector 9 ceramics if you have the cash.
