Sector 9 whistler longboard review
The sector 9 Whistler longboard is a great board for downhill, carving, and getting around town, (anything except for ramps and using it like a regular skateboard). The whistler has wheel cutouts that reduce the chance of getting wheelbite (which is nice during carving and cruising). The whistler also has a slight kicktail for added control and maneuverability (if you can manage to lift it up). I recommend the whistler to any although beginners may find it to be a little awkward at first unless they’re just using it for cruising because other than for cruising and bombing hills it could be a awkward board to ride for carving because it’s so long .
The sector 9 whistler comes with san clemente trucks and wheels but I highly recommend paying the few extra dollars to get the sidewinders unless you’re using this for bombing hills then I suggest chargers or bombers and some sector 9 wheels that are about 70mm or larger, the san clemente’s are nice if you’re just starting out but in the long run the sidewinders and the sector 9 wheels are far, far, better, you just have to trust me. The whistler also comes with abec 5 bearings but if you’re going to toss in the extra money for wheels and trucks you might as well throw in a few more for the reds because though the abec 5′s are fine but if you really want to get the most out of this board you have to go for the extra.
