nordboards-skateboardbearings

When newbie riders contemplate purchasing their first skateboard, they focus much of their attention on the deck. This makes perfect sense, as the deck is the part of the unit that actually comes in contact with the rider’s feat. Skaters depend on their decks to have structural integrity when they’re pulling off dangerous tricks such as boardslides. But there are plenty of other skateboard accessories that deserve just as much consideration.

The trucks are another distinctive feature, and they are responsible for creating a wheel base and keeping the wheels and bearings aligned. In order to execute a grind, a rider must use his trucks to scrape along a rail or ledge. Skateboard bearings are crucial as well, given that they provide a skateboard with its smooth rolling motion. A set of new bearings – or even some lubrication added to the old ones – can make a tremendous difference in terms of mobility.

Sector 9 Greenroom Longboard

The sector 9 cosmic series wouldn’t be complete without the top and bottom graphic styled longboard. This year the sector 9 greenroom takes the cake with the choice for that graphic. The graphic is an amazing shot from inside a wave barrel. The sector 9 greenroom is made from maple and fiberglass which are sandwiched together to create a nice smooth flex that creates smooth flowing turns just like you’re riding a glassy little wave. The shorter wheelbase on the greenroom makes for great manuverability.

The sector 9 greenroom longboard can be set up with a variety of trucks, some of the best choices for the greenroom are gullwing missions, gullwing chargers 9″, randal 150mm, and paris 150mm. A nice sized wheel from 64mm to 65mm in size is the perfect fit for this board. Sector 9 has also recently made available so high grade bearings, the ones I would put on the sector 9 greenroom would have to be the new sector 9 cosmic bearings as they were designed with for this board!

Sector 9 big rock bamboo mini longboard

Out with the old and in with the new. The sector 9 big rock is the new version in the bamboo longboard line up. It is fast, smooth, and lots of fun to ride, not to mention super MINI sized. The size allows for super sharp turns and is highly manuverable and is great for around town transportation. The fresh new graphic on the bottom is of an amazing barrel at big rock surf spot. This mini bamboo longboard is a must have is you love the bamboo boards and want something on the shorter end, not to mention it is a great price!

The sector 9 big rock should be set up with some gullwing missions for optimal turning at a great price. Rush abec 5 bearings are nice and smooth for this smooth little I mean “BIG ROCK”. As far as wheels go I wouldn’t go any bigger than 64mm as you will start to have problems with wheel bite and that just isn’t any fun.

Arbor fish koa review

The Arbor koa fish longboard has got to be one of the best speed boards made by arbor, it may not have great handling but it makes up for that by being one of the fastest boards you will EVER ride. This is one of thos face melter boards… you know? the ones that will make you jealous every time you see someone dart past you, the board itself is pretty awesome.

the koa fish comes with those lame san clemente trucks and wheels but I recommend getting sidewinder trucks for this board. I don’t much recommend it for downhill anyways but it CAN be used for it and if you do decide to do it i would recommend the chargers or bombers. Also if you decide to get some bangin’ new bearings I recommend reds or sector 9 ceramics.

The sector 9 longboard kiwi mini is everything you could ever ask for…in a compact little board. The kiwi is perfect for cruising around town or carving up the parks. The kiwi also has perfect portability meaning it’s Uber easy to carry around. I recommend the kiwi to anyone who likes to cruise or carve.

For the kiwi I recommend getting the gullwing sidewinders no matter what unless you’re mini ramping then I suggest chargers. If you’re going to get new wheels for the kiwi I recommend using anything with a 60+mm. and if you’re looking to buy new bearings I recommend reds or sector 9 ceramics

The sector 9 superfish longboard is great for just cruising around town, but can be customized to do just about anything you want. In other words the superfish is all around great board for beginners, or those jack-of-all trades. the superfish also has wheel cutouts to make sure your wheels aren’t kissing up against your board. I recommend the superfish to any beginner.

This sector 9 longboard comes with those cruddy old san clemente trucks and wheels but I recommend getting sidewinder trucks for this board. I don’t much recommend it for downhill anyways but it CAN be used for it and if you do decide to do it i would recommend the chargers or bombers. Also if you decide to get some bangin’ new bearings I recommend reds or sector 9 ceramics.

The sector 9 bert review

ever wondered what it’s like to to skate on water? well the sector 9 bert scribble longboard will let you show you what it’s like to skate on concrete. The bert scribble comes with wheel cutouts to keep the wheels from lovin’ up against your wood and sometimes boards can get pretty freaky. I recommend the bert scribble to any carver or cruise

The bert scribble is both a great carver and cruiser I recommend the gullwing sidewinders for both occasions. If you’re going to get new wheels I recommend anything 70mm +. If you’re looking to buy new bearings I recommend getting reds or sector 9 ceramics ( if you dare)

Ever wanted to Know what surfing felt like? Well the Sector 9 Luke longboard is just that…It’s a surfboard on wheels! Now given it’s ridiculously huge…you know what they…size doesn’t matter…well when it comes to skateboarding it does you could roll over a semi with this thing (or a really big rock).

I would definitely consider this more of a cruiser or downhill board. I recommend any wheels bigger than 70mm. If you’re looking to bu new trucks for this board I recommend getting either the sidewinders for cruising or chargers for downhill. And if you’re looking for bearings I suggest reds or sector 9 ceramics.

loaded longboards review

Loaded longboards have to be some of the best longboards out there. they are highly flexible and super comfortable, the bamboo makes for a more secure and sturdy board. Meaning if you buy one of these then you’ll be set for a long while (a long long long long while). These boards are also frickin speed demons man, they rush so fast it makes your face feel like it’ll peel off at any second, kinda like a giant potato peeler is grinding at your face.

But the best Loaded longboard would have to be the Dervish fo sho. its got a great surface for zooming across anything you want to conquer and not to mention that these boards have amazing handling in case you almost get hit by a car you could maybe i dont know.. mybe move the heck out of they way really fast. All in all these are fantastic boards so you should totally get one now.
