Nixon Superior Womens Watch Review
Nixon makes great watches, they are always coming out with new styles and colors. One of Nixon’s brand new watches for 2009 is The Superior. The Superior has a great leather band and a large round face. It comes in black, white, purple and all brown. This watch has a 70′s feel and is on trend for what is in style right now.
The Nixon Superior looks great with anything. You can wear it when your all dressed up and going out, but it also looks great for everyday use. The only downside to this watch is it doesn’t have the numbers written on the face, but most of us girls wear watches for fashion anyway. The Nixon Superior womens watch retails for $119.95 which is not a bad price for such a great looking watch.

Arbor longboards: Mini Series
Arbor longboards come in various sizes and the smallest arbor longboards are known as the Mini series. These boards range from 26 inches to 32 inches in length and 7.25 inches to 9.00 inches in width. Because of the smaller board length these arbor longboards are stiff and lighter. With typical longboard trucks and wheels, the Mini Arbor longboard series can still supply an enjoyable ride with the ability to perform tricks and serious carving.
Arbor Mini series include the Pocket Rocket (available with koa or bamboo deck) and the GB Sizzler (koa deck). The Pocket Rockets are the smallest boards available from Arbor longboards while the GB Sizzler is slightly bigger, but still a Mini. The Pocket Rockets are simply “compact mini cruisers designed to be light and stashable, with quick, thread-the-needle performance.” The Arbor Mini series are particularly useful for transportation because it rides like a cruiser and can be carried or stored easily. These boards are durable and long-lasting because they come with either koa or bamboo deck supported by 7-plys of hardrock maple. Arbor Longboards in the mini series are made for easy transportation and cruising, but there are no limits to how the boards are used because they can do it all.
Sector 9 9 Star Longboard Review
With production of the sector 9 sunset longboard on hault, the 9-star is now sector 9′s most popular down-hill styled longboard. The 9-star longboard is almost identical to the sunset. The length is 39″ as the sunset was 42″, the width of each board is identical at 9″ wide. The sector 9 9-star longboard has a little shorter wheelbase which makes for tighers turns and is also made from maple which is harder and doesn’t have as much flex which also makes for a more responsive board. The top-mount of the nine star makes for a nice low center of gravity creating and speed machine that is super stable and probably the best sector 9 longboard on the market for aggressive riders.
Setting up this longboard is very easy and should be done with certain parts for the best performance available. A nice wide base makes for a solid ride and good turns and lots of stability. The only 2 reverse king-pin trucks on the market that fit the sector 9 9 star longboard to my knowledge are the chargers in 10″ and also the paris trucks. I would recommened either of them. Also a nice fat 72mm or larger sized wheel is perfect for this board for high speeds and I would recommend a wide wheel also for more friction and traction for high speed turning. I would also put some sector 9 cosmic bearings on this longboard to create lots of speed but they are still a nice price!
Sector nine barong mini longboard review
The sector nine barong mini longboard despite its size is great for cruising around and even for skating down at the local park. The barong has plenty of concave and a kicknose and tail for excellent control. The barong is also made of bamboo which is very stiff and durable, not to mention good for the environment! The barong has a very short wheelbase as well which gives you super sharp turns so you can turn on a dime. the Barong also comes with sector nine non-slip clear griptape.
The Barong comes with Stock san clementes but I suggest Independent trucks for this, since the board is so small longboard trucks aren’t the best option although still a viable one.I would suggest getting sector nine wheels nl]othing too big though or you may get wheelbite (which can throw you off of your board and make you eat poo). This little thing can fly down the street just like any other longboard, however you need the right bearings to do so so i suggest getting bones reds because they’re the best for price, or if you really want to get oging for some extra cash the sector nine ceramics. Check out all the sector nine bamboo longboards.
Sector nine hills longboard review
the Sector nine Hills longboard is great for pushing around town carving up your park but it truly excels in tearing down hills. The sector nine hills is cut in certain way that it is extremely hard to get wheelbite. the Hills is a super stiff 8 ply deck with a super steep concave for excellent response. and just like all of our other premium Sector nines it comes with non-slip grip.
The sector nine hills longboard comes with stock san clemente trucks but I suggest getting sidewinders if you want to carve or bombers or chargers if you want to bomb hills, either are great for transportation. The hills also comes with stock san clemente wheels but i suggest sector nine wheels or if you want to pay the extra for the better, abec 11 gumballs. you can’t get going very far without a decent set of bearings right? well I suggest bones reds because they’re the best for the price or if you really want to go flying down the pavement, Sector nine ceramics.
The Sector nine wedge longboard review
The Sector nine wedge longboard is a great for everyday transportation or thrashing your local park. The sector nine wedge is a very long board and has a very long wheelbase which makes for nice, smooth, buttery turns. The wedge also has 2 layers of fiberglass in it for extra snap, and more durability. The wedge though unlike some of our sector nine’s comes with non-slip clear grip for a classic look.
The Sector Nine wedge comes with san clementes but i recommend getting sidewinders because of their excellent turning or perhaps if you want to try bombing hills with it i would suggest getting bombers or chargers. The wedge also comes with stock san clementes for just a little extra you can get some premium sector nine wheels or for a little extra bang for your buck you can get the abec 11 gumballs. Also to if you want to go flying down the pavement i suggest getting bones reds because they’re the best for the price, or if you want to be the fastest kid on the block, I suggest getting sector nine ceramics
Sector Nine wings longboard review
The Sector nine wings longboard is a great board for getting around town or tearing up the local park I find it to be more of a cruiser though. The wings has a long wheelbase which makes for long smooth turns. The wings also has 2 layers of fiberglass cambered in the center to give it more flex which makes it great for both carving and everyday transpotation. Unlike some of our Sector nines the wings comes with a clear non-slip grip to keep a classic look on both sides.
The wings comes with san clemente trucks but i recommend Sidewinders because of their amazing turning ability. If you really want to get over those bumps and cracks or ensure you make that pocket without slipping out i sugggest getting sector nine wheels or abec 11 gumballs instead of our stock san clementes. Also If you really want to get going through the park or speed to wherever you want to get going i suggest either bones reds which are the best bearings for their price or if you really want to go tearing down the pavement I suggest our quality sector nine ceramics
The benefits of paying the extra 10-15$ for trucks
All of longboards come with San Clemente trucks even though these trucks aren’t terrible they’re just stock trucks and for an extra 10-15$ you can get a set of trucks that will make you turn in and out of places you would have never of thought possible! for example the gullwing alpines or mission 1′s are only 10$ more and this is what you can get out of them: for the extra 10$ you get a much more durable better quality truck, excellent bushings, theres more metal on the hangars (which is the little piece of metal that sticks into the baseplate) and since it’s thicker theres less to almost no chance of it snapping. the trucks that are 10 to 15$ more don’t tweak your bushings to the point that they loosen or break. Also check out the gullwing charger trucks. I hope this helped all of you who read this.
Sector Nine 9 star longboard review
The Sector Nine 9 star longboard is great for getting around town or carving up the parks but this board especially excels in downhill racing. The 9 star comes with a flush mount setting the board closer to the ground making a lower center of gravity which is excellent for racing. the 9 star also has a long wheelbase for nice smooth turns. Also the way the 9 star is cut almost totally eliminates wheelbite because there’s no wood for the wheels to touch if you turn! To top it off like all of Sector Nine’s the 9 star comes with sector nine non-slip griptape.
The 9 star comes with San clemente trucks but I suggest getting gullwing bombers or gullwing chargers if you want to do downhill racing, However I suggest the sidewinders if you’re looking to carve with it. The 9 star also comes with San clemente wheels I suggest getting sector nine wheels, sector nine racing formula (for downhill), or oraguntang wheels (also for downhill). You can’t go speeding down hills or flying through pockets without a good set of bearings, I suggest getting reds bearings because they’re the best bearings for the price, or if you feel like becoming Nascars first racer on a longboard i suggest getting the Sector Nine ceramics.
Sector Nine Bambino mini longboard
The Sector nine Bambino mini longboard is great for pushing around town or getting some air at the parks. The Bambino is very small in fact i think it’s the smallest board we have, The Bambino is also made of bamboo which is as durable if not more durable than actual wood. The Bambino has a very short wheelbase which is perfect for tight, precise turns. It also has plenty of concave for extra control. Like all of our other great Sector Nines this board comes with excellent non-slip griptape
Due to the Bambinos size I don’t recommend doing anything outside of cruising or the park. The Bambino comes with San clemente wheels but if you want the full effect from this board I suggest getting sector nine wheels or maybe if you’re looking to do stuff at the parks actual skateboard wheels because the only longboard wheel we have hard enough to slides is the Sector Nine slide tech formulas but their size would cause wheelbite. I would suggest getting mission 1′s, bombers, or chargers, for trucks because a truck such as the sidewinder would turn too much and cause wheelbite. Despite it’s size this little board can tear down the streets, however you need some decent bearings to do so. I suggest getting reds or if you really want to get to where you’re going or make all the kids at the park envy, I would suggest Sector nine ceramics.
