Sector 9 Sand Wedge Longboard

Dissecting the flush-mount drop through Sector 9 Longboard:

While the Sidewinder trucks turn incredibly well, they do sit a bit higher off the ground. To offset this problem Sector 9 longboards has developed the flush-mount drop through, on the Off the wall 2 and the Sand wedge. Which basically means they CNC cut into the deck of the board the thickness and shape of the trucks base plate and through the board the size of the upright section of the base plate. The truck is then disassembled at the kingpin and reassembled again to become one with the board. The base of the truck fits flush with the deck. What you then have the a board that turns on a dime and is just the right height. That is what the Sector 9 Sand Wedge Longboard is all about!

Cosmic Series Longboards:
For a while now the boards in the cosmic series have been representative of the surf-side of Sector 9 longboards. This shows through with the amazing photos they incorporate into the graphics, the fiberglass used in most of the decks, but most of all in how they ride. Sector 9 Bamboo Series Longboards

This years line-up of Sector 9 Bamboo Longboards are all following a trend in the graphic. The bamboo boards all have graphics inspired by the North Shore of Oahu.

With an eye towards the environment and a patented laminating process, we started making decks from 100% bamboo. An ideal raw material, bamboo can regenerate itself by up to 4 ft per week. Incredibly strong and resilient, it had to be made into a skateboard.
