Continued… New Winter 2009 Longboards
Continued from an earlier post about the new winter Sector 9 Longboards.
A few other updated graphics are on the Sector 9 Sand wedge sidewinder series longboard. This board is getting an updated graphic on the bottom as it has been a few years of the old graphic now. The other updated graphic on a board is the Mini Sector Nine Joel Tudor Skateboard . The graphic ties in the Sector 9 / San Diego theme using the S9 in the same way the San Diego padres use the SD logo on their hats. It comes in a rasta color-way and a brown gold color-way.
The last new edition to the sector 9 line-up is a new board called the Sector 9 Costa mini longboard. This board is the same set-up as the Sector 9 Vegas mini but comes with a custom graphic of a perfect surf break in Costa Rica and helps to promote alternative energy. It’s a great edition to the Sector 9 mini longboard line-up.

Eco-Friendly Longboard Company
Arbor got into the longboard skateboard industry in 1999. Arbor longboards goal has been to use environmetally friendly materials in all of their longboards. At the same time Arbor has the goal to keep the boards high performance and also very visually appealing. In addition, we reclaim the wood and bamboo by-product created during construction for use in other Arbor products or by outside companies.

New Winter 2009 Sector 9 Longboards
Sector 9 has done a new grapic on the Sector 9 Wings Mini Longboard as well as a few other sector 9 longboards that we will tell you about. First off, the wings hasn’t changed performance wise at all. The sector 9 wings is still the light weight hard slashing mini it always has been just has a newer updated graphic on the bottom so check it out.
The other new edition of the Sector 9 longboard lineup is the Sector 9 Carbon TR3 Longboard which is replacing the Sector 9 Carbon Trylam longboard. It will be released in 3 different colors; blue, red, black. The Sector 9 carbon tr3 is a great high performance light weight super fast longboard.
My favorite edition to the sector 9 longboard series is the new Sector Nine 9 Star top mount longboard. The board is similar to the Sector 9 Sunset bamboo series longboard just a bit shorter which will allow for sharper faster turning but it has the same width which is good for the extra balance and comfort when carving hard and fast. The Sector Nine 9 Star longboard is probably my new favorite Sector 9 Longboard. I can’t wait to get my hands on the new 9 star.

Mini Bamboo Longboard
Sector 9 Bambino Mini Longboard
This is the shortest bamboo board in the Sector 9 longboard line-up. The Sector 9 Bambino Mini Longboard is a smooth riding, tight turning board. The bambino is constructed of 5-plys of bamboo wood.
It is part of Sector 9’s Bamboo Series, but also qualifies under the mini series. Fits comfortably in a locker when it’s not owning the campus. Nice fat tail for whatever you need a nice fat tail for. Designed for the person who needs to get from point A to point B in style, the Bambino can be set-up specifically to meet your needs but we do have a recommended set-up. Just because the Sector 9 Bambino is small doesn’t mean you can cruise it like a longboard.

The sector 9 wedge longboard is one of the lightest boards in the Sector 9 longboard series. It is a high performance longboard with a unique look very similar to the sector 9 wings. It is also constructed with vertically laminated Aspen and Mahogany sandwiched between layers of fiberglass in a forward centered cambered mold. The wedge is great for big smooth turns and any kind of cruising and carving.

Sector 9 Carbon Trylam Longboard
The Sector 9 Carbon Trylam Longboard isn’t just your normal style longboard. The Carbon Trylam deck is constructed with 4 plies of maple wood, sandwiched between layers of carbon Fiber and Fiberglass and then is epoxied together with a special glue that bonds the different materials of the Sector 9 Carbon Trylam longboard together. The Carbon trylam board is super light, has good snap out of turns and great for all around carving, giant slalom style riding and everything in between. The carbon trylam is often used for performance or down hill racing.
This longboard deck is best paired with gullwing charger longboard trucks that are 10-inches wide. You want a good sized wheel around 70mm-74mm and a super fast spinning bearing. The construction of this board makes for a unique feel and smooth ride. It has a good amount of flex but at the same time still has enough stiffness to allow for quick hard turns. This sector 9 longboard truly is one of the most unique in the line.
