Sector 9 Ala Moana Sidewinder Longboard

Longboards are amazing modes of transportation. Smaller sized longboard such as the sector 9 ala moana longboard are great ways to get around town, or college campus. The smaller longboards tend to manuver a lot better as they have a shorter wheel base which creates tighter turning abilities. Match a short wheel base up with some sidewinder trucks and you have a carvers dream. The sector 9 ala moana is the shortest sector 9 sidewinder series longboard. It has a nice flat deck which allows you to use the entire top for foot placement. The ala moana is also 100% bamboo wood which is great for the environment for many reasons. It is 31.75″ long x 8.8″ wide so just about the same size as a standard skateboard. Don’t let the smaller size fool you though. The sector nine ala moana longboard is fast and smooth and rides just like a larger sized longboard.

The best set up for the sector 9 ala moana longboard is sidewinder trucks to take advantage of the short wheel base for amazing turns. You want to set this board up with the correct style wheels so you can make the trucks work correctly. I would suggest either 69mm or 72m sector 9 wheels as they have the flat edge and wide wheel that allows the wheels to be extra grippy to reduce sliding. You can also get some retro zigzags or bigzigs as they are similar. Also orangatang longboard wheels like inheat and 4prez wheels are good choices.

loaded longboards review

Loaded longboards have to be some of the best longboards out there. they are highly flexible and super comfortable, the bamboo makes for a more secure and sturdy board. Meaning if you buy one of these then you’ll be set for a long while (a long long long long while). These boards are also frickin speed demons man, they rush so fast it makes your face feel like it’ll peel off at any second, kinda like a giant potato peeler is grinding at your face.

But the best Loaded longboard would have to be the Dervish fo sho. its got a great surface for zooming across anything you want to conquer and not to mention that these boards have amazing handling in case you almost get hit by a car you could maybe i dont know.. mybe move the heck out of they way really fast. All in all these are fantastic boards so you should totally get one now.

loaded pintail bamboo longboard

The loaded pintail bamboo longboard is a great all around board whether you’re cruising the streets, carving the parks, bombing hills, weaving through cones, just about anything except for flip tricks. The pintail has four flex strengths Flex 1: 35” 170-250+ lbs. Flex 2: 35” 140-220+ lbs. Flex 3: 35” 110-190+ lbs. Flex 4: 35” 80-160+ lbs. each flex has it’s own advantage, the higher the number the more flex it has the more flex, the sharper turn you get but the less stability you have at higher speeds. The loaded pintail is great because it’s so versatile and can do practically anything you want it to. I give this board a 10/10.

The loaded pintail comes with stock san clemente wheels and trucks but PLEASE GET SOMETHING BETTER. The pintail is a great board but only if it has good trucks wheels and bearings as well. If you’re going to buy new trucks I recommend the sidewinders or randals. If you’re going to get new wheels I recommend orangutangs, gumballs, or sector nines (anything 70-80mm). I also recommend getting better bearings because the stock ones blow, so buy the reds or sector nine ceramics if you have the money

Loaded vanguard review

The Loaded vanguard longboard is a great all around board whether you’re cruising around town, tearing down hills, carving the park, or weaving through cones, this board does it all. The vanguard comes in 5 different flexes, which gives you the privilege of customizing your board to your preference. Flex 1: 42” 175-230+ lbs. Flex 2: 42” 150-210 lbs. Flex 3: 38” 150-200 lbs. Flex 4: 38” 120-170 lbs. Flex 5: 38” 80-140 lbs. The softer the flex pattern the more control and tighter turns at a wide range of speeds, but you’ll tend to lose stability slightly at higher speeds. Stiffer flex means more energy potential and more stability at higher speeds, but will not be as great for cruising. The vanguard is a great overall board and you customize it however you want 10/10 in my opinion.

The vanguard comes with stock san clemente trucks and wheels. If you choose to buy this, PLEASE DON’T get the stock wheels and trucks they will ruin the greatness of this board. If you get trucks get sector nine sidewinders or randal 150’s . If you’re going to get different wheels get the orangutangs or sector nine wheels ( anything in about a 70-80mm will do just fine). All good longboard have to have good bearings too, I recommend sector nine ceramics or reds bearings if you don’t have the additional money for the ceramics.

Loaded ceviche longboard review

This board is definitely worth what you pay for it. The loaded ceviche longboard is great for downhill, carving, or just cruising down the street. The ceviche has multiple wheel placements so if you plan to go tear up the park you can set them back for a short wheelbase that will give you super sharp turning, or you can place them further apart if you want long smooth turns that will it that surfy feel. the ceviche has a pretty good sized tail and a mellow nose and it’s fish like design makes it almost immune to wheelbite. I recommend the ceviche to anyone who wants a perfect longboard. 10/10

The ceviche comes with the san clemente trucks and wheels but if you’re gonna get this PLEASE don’t let it come with the stock trucks and wheels. The ceviche is an extremely good board but you won’t get near it’s full potential without some trucks such as sector nine sidewinders, gullwing chargers, or randal 150’s. If you’re going to get wheels I recommend orangutangs or sector nine wheels get them in about 70-80mm. As we all know no good board is good without good bearings I recommend the sector nine ceramics or if you can’t afford those reds bearings but if you can get a hold of the ceramics I definitely recommend those.
